Insurance claim amount

The insurance claim amount on CARFAXINSPECTION USA + Canada Vehicle History Reports may change or update based on when the report is generated. Therefore, it’s important to consider both the claim date and the report date.

At any given time, the insurance claim amount can be:

  • A zero-dollar ($0.00) claim, which could happen for various reasons (e.g., the claim is recent and hasn’t been paid or settled yet).
  • The total amount paid by an insurance company for damages or the replacement of an insured vehicle.
  • The recovery amount, which represents the cost paid by the insurance company to settle the claim, minus any amount the insurance company later recovered.

Please note that insurance claim amounts on Vehicle History Reports:

  • Do not include costs for things like rental vehicles or personal injuries.
  • May differ from the estimate or repair records due to various factors.

We are unable to obtain or provide further details regarding the claim amount.
