Our story
In the year 2000, we introduced CarProof, motivated by a mission to provide Canadians with dependable information on a vehicle’s history and lien status as to help in buying and selling used cars. Over years, our Vehicle History Report kept maturing and thus assimilating data from thousands of officials and various other sources. The collections increased as we were able to launch the Vehicle Valuation Report for car dealerships and also launched a free consumer valuation tool. During this evolution of the Vehicle History Report, thousands of official and miscellaneous sources fed data into it. Concomitant with a growing data pool, we were also able to introduce the Vehicle Valuation Report for car dealerships and a free valuation tool for consumers.
2020 saw more major changes with a move into our new, state-of-the-art office space at 100 Kellogg Lane in London, Ontario. In 2022, CARAFXINSPECTION officially became part of S&P Global after their merger with IHS Markit.
At CARFAXINSPECTION, innovation remains at the forefront of what we do, and our comprehensive suite of products and tools continues to grow. We remain focused on the same goal we had more than 20 years ago – providing Canadians with vehicle insights to make buying, selling and owning a vehicle easier.
